The Philadelphia
Hong Kong Trade Association (PHKTA) was formed on May 31, 2005 in Philadelphia to provide
companies housed in the region the networking opportunities and channels of
communications needed to compete in the global business arena. Members of
PHKTA represent education, banking, real estate, law, import/export,
investment, manufacturing and transportation.
Mission:
The main
objective of PHKTA is dedicated to facilitating and strengthening business
and economic relationships with Hong Kong
and the Philadelphia Region. Our goals are:
- To promote the understanding
of the value of a strong business relationship with Hong Kong and the United States;
- To create networking
opportunities among industry professionals who have a common interest in
Hong Kong;
- To offer programs of diverse
interest and value for our members to promote opportunities that will lead
to further business developments between Hong Kong
and the Philadelphia Region;
- To disseminate information on
trade and investment opportunities between Hong
Kong and the Philadelphia Region
Program:
The 2009 U.S. Regional Caucus Meeting was held in Philadelphia from May 15 to 17, 2009. The event was hosted by the Philadelphia Hong Kong Trade Association, and sponsored by Stradley Ronan Stevens & Young LLP, Buchanan Ingersoll & Ronney PC, Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau Multicultural Affairs Congress, and the Windsor Suites Philadelphia Hotel.
